The first large landscaped park in Frankfurt was listed

With extensive meadows, large ponds and lush trees, Frankfurt East Park offers itself. Walking, running, running, barbecuing, kicking, playing or simply not doing anything: The 32-hectare complex in Ostend, Frankfurt offers countless opportunities for leisure activities. Along the beautiful old school, poplar and pastures lead to circular paths around meadows and ponds. Young visitors will find a large playground that leaves nothing to be desired. Refreshments are available at the kiosk. Allowed for dogs in the meadow. There are also sports facilities for football, basketball, running track and table tennis tables. A "free-motion footballer" created the cartoonist. And. Bernstein in Ostpark and Karsah for a "penalty spot" opened in 2008 and is a top bend with football at the top. A "monument and memorial" on the edge of the huge grass is one of the "comic art" purposes along the Frankfurt Green Belt.

Since 1986, the first large landscaped garden in Frankfurt has been listed. It was built from 1907 to 1911 in the new east port building according to the plans of park manager Karl Hickey. According to its concept, the area, previously flooded by the main area of Maine, should serve the recovery of the steadily growing population of Ostend and Riederwald with large tracts of meadows, a 4.2-hectare pond, sports facilities and a secondary school garden.

The pond was planted in the dry part of the main altar. It is about to receive normal flow, and today still needs to get rid of toxins from time to time. Its islands, lush landscapes, pastures, canyons and sand dunes provide shelter for the colonies of ducks, geese, swans, water birds and bird birds. In the pond live Karushin, a species of endangered carp in Hesse. The former high school park was relocated to Buergergarten in 1983 after the school's interest declined. The small, quiet area lies on the edge of a large meadow in the east of the park with flower beds, a herb garden and a pharmacy. A stream feeds artificially through the lawns and a grove of trees from all over the world and flows into the pond.

The former main school park located in the park was moved to Buergergarten in 1983 in a form almost unchanged due to lack of demand from schools.
