Throughout the year, Lohrpark provides ample space for sports and leisure. Here people from Frankfurt meet for a walk, take a break from Seckbach or Bergen, or shoot the barbecue barbecue facilities in front of a great panorama. In autumn, kites rise in the sky, and when snow falls in winter, skiing on the slopes is great. New Year's Eve, many people from Frankfurt come here to welcome New Year's Day with an unmatched view of their city, lit up by fireworks in bright colors.
In 1905, the city of Frankfurt was planned for a public park in Lohrberg, designed by the director of the park Max Broom since 1919 and uniting in an area of 18 hectares for recreation and benefit from the gardens of customization and extensive meadows and a recreational park for children. This has changed a little today. Since 1986, the park is a listed building. In times of need, an advisory park was set up here after 1945 to help the citizens of Frankfurt to successfully plant fruits and vegetables. Today, "Mainäppel-Haus Lohrberg" continues this tradition through the Adventure Park, providing advice and courses for amateur planters and amateur gardeners.
