A popular recreational area for visitors to Munich
The 210-hectare park was built between 1997 and 2005 by landscape architect Gilles Vexlard. It is the third largest park in Munich and today attracts walkers, sunbathers and swimmers. Because the 10 hectare Riemer lake is part of the recreation area. The park also has two hills with good views and in winter for sledding. It was inaugurated in 2005 with the Federal Garden Show, which is why it is also known under the name BUGA Park. He received the German Landscape Architecture Award.
