The geometry of the park alone is an attraction
The extensive forest areas and paths are perfect for walks and joggers. The sun can be enjoyed on the large meadows next to the Bahrenfelder harness racing track. In the summer, large cherry trees in the park provide shade. Also in the park there are playgrounds or a miniature golf course. The Volkspark also encloses a wreath of other uses, such as the trotting course since 1867, the planned according to plans of 1923 Altonaer main cemetery and allotment gardens.
