Győr Zoo
The zoo houses both domestic, native animal species and exotic animals, with hundreds of individuals of nearly 100 animal species waiting for visitors. The vast majority of animals are seen in habitat-type demonstrations, i.e., grouped according to their occurrence. Territorially and in terms of species number, African animals make up the largest part, followed by the South American and Asian collections.
The main attractions of the zoo include the African Runway (with zebras, antelopes, giraffes), the South American house (here live tapirs, sloths, pampany rabbits, water pigs), the Jaguar House, a specialty is Gibbon Island. We have the opportunity to adopt at the zoo, or we can even take part in a visual feeding.
