The remarkable diversity of palm trees
The high quality of the project, well adjusted to the site and the mild climate of Lisbon, was soon proven. Barely finished planting, according to the capricious design of the paths, flowerbeds and terraces, interconnected by lakes and waterfalls, the young plants quickly prospered, taking up all the space and letting immediately guess how, in time, the city would gain its most pleasant green space and the most scenic and botanical interest. In the heart of Lisbon and in stark contrast to its hustle and bustle, the colors and shadows, the smells and sounds of the Jardim da Politécnica give you a retreat and delight. And, as it is a botanical garden, the Garden has other functions, not just leisure and passive recreation.
