Smetana groves were created in 1820 by planting a fortress area on the western ocean of the city with trees. The garden has an interesting sculpture decoration. In 1925 a statue of Bedřich Smetana was unveiled, as the orchards got their current name.
In addition to mainly deciduous trees, there are also many points of interest in Smetanovy sady - the deciduous press originating from the Florida swamp, which grows on the shore of the lake, the deciduous conifer from the Chinese metasekvoje, and grows in a group in the middle of the Magnolia Park.
Another interesting feature of Smetana groves is one of the oldest species in the world - ginkgo biloba. Brown pods of up to 40 cm long appear on a lumberjack in North America.
Magnolia Garden is a relaxing area in the Pinet neighborhood, which in spring provides a wonderful view of a flood of white and pink flowers, some of which are up to 20 cm in size.
There is no doubt that the most important architectural features of the park is the construction of the restaurant, which was built as a spa pavilion. On the other hand, there is a fountain with a fountain in the middle of the corniche, followed by an impressive musical wing.
