In 1828 Martin Kubiko Burmaster was appointed the last owner of Pilsen. He and his friends established a decorative joint stock company to build the spa complex in Lutoten, the oldest of its kind in Bohemia. In 1832, the garden began to be rebuilt, and the spa buildings were gradually built. At that time, Count Karl Schutec also contributed to the purchase of land. One year later the resort was in operation, and drinking treatments, water baths and mud were turned on. The place has become the center of social events, entertainment and Czech national life.
In 1841 - just one year after Prague - the first Czech ball was held here in Pilsen, and three years later a purely Czech library and reading room were created in a magazine in the spa.
