The Forest Park was founded by the landowner and writer of the Austro-Austrian Emperor Franz Josef I, Ludwik Odderschil, near the colorful Kamen settlement at the time in the south of the then Tsapovsky Square. Thanks to the cooperation of Odstrčil with Žabovřesky and the Forestry and Decoration Association in Brno, a forest park with a current area of 34 hectares has been created. At that time, on its outskirts, beyond today's Episcopal High School, there was a pyramid reminiscent of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The letters of Douglas (Franz Josef, Elizabeth), visible from the hills and opposite valleys, were planted on the north side.
