The oldest city park in the Netherlands
The north-western part of the Plantage was refurbished from August 2011 to April 2012. Jan van Luijn's liberation monument is once again part of the park by removing a intersecting connecting road. The parking spaces and the music stage dating from the 1950s have also been removed from the Plantage.
The park has a large number of artistic expressions.
