In the park is monument that is a reminder of one of the worst events of the Second World War in Apeldoorn
"Prinsenpark". It is not yet known whether the park has ever been officially opened, but on 5 September 1903 there is still a piece in the newspaper that the work in the new landscaped park is almost complete, so around that time it will also be open for the public.
