In the park there is a work of art from 1966
In 1959 it was renamed to Dr. Zamenhof park. It is named after Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof with his pseudonym Dr. Esperanto. The statue of him was unveiled in 1975 and was made by artist D. Blanksma. It is one of the Esperanto monuments in the Netherlands.
