A beautiful piece of nature
In 1872 a drinking water pond was built by the municipality. The ground of the pond was used by landscape architect Gerrit Vlaskamp to create sloping slopes for a landscape-style park. The park was redesigned in 1926.
An information panel was unveiled in the park on Sunday 28 April 2019 for ten Jewish victims from Leeuwarden in World War II.
