Very attractive due to the variety of old tree areas, lawns and the city farm. All trees in the park have been planted and with regard to tree species there are many ash and elm trees but also beech trees. The undergrowth in the park can be called special. The so-called "stinzenplanten", typical forest plants, can be found here in many varieties and numbers such as wild garlic, finger flower and 50 other varieties.
In addition to the many stinzen plants, there are also many mushrooms in the park. Especially in the Wilhelminalaan and the parallel Hardraverslaan there are very many, so far 158 types. In terms of fauna, there are various animal species to be found in the Hout. Birds are well represented in the city park such as the Nightingale, the tree-stick, the green woodpecker, the great spotted woodpecker and the finch.
