The park is used as an event park
The park was refurbished from November 2004, and the renewed park was reopened in September 2007. After the demolition of the old Arnhem station, the entrance pavilion that stood on the Sonsbeek side in the park was rebuilt. It is now used as a catering facility.
In the middle of the park is an event area with surrounding hills that can serve as a grandstand. Among other things, the biennial Park event takes place here. Spread over the park there are places to picnic; In addition, there are some places to barbecue.
