A park that was built around 1828 near the Dutch city of Zwolle. A design in romantic English landscape style by probably Hendrik van Lunteren was realized on former fortifications. The walking park is located southwest of the city in the hamlet of Spoolde, directly behind the Katerveerdijk, the winter dike of the river IJssel. Because of the status of a former fortification, the English Work is a national monument.
