It is an English-style landscape garden, where the terrain, natural trees and paths are defined by the users who formed the basis of the design.
The pathways in the park settle naturally among the old trees. Many decades wind-blown trees, along with rocky surfaces, create a distinctive island-like atmosphere.
The garden includes 2 playgrounds, a playground and a paddling pool for children, as well as a dog area.
An information board can be found on the park in the corner of the volunteer fire brigade building.
Large group of cultivated flowers
In front of the Orthodox Church there is an impressive array of flowers more than 1,000 square meters next to Ruotsinsalmenkatu.
In addition to more than 50 species of perennials, there are azalea and mountaineering plants blooming in bright colors. In the spring, thousands of bulbs come to a flower. A large variety of species in the collection ensure impressive flowers from spring to late fall.
