One of the largest groups of succulent plants in Russia and Europe.

When visiting Montador Park and Cactus Greenhouse, please note that from now on, the excursion area is integrated into one large program: Montador Park, Cactus Greenhouse, and Paradise Garden Exposition. A new, individual entrance is arranged, opposite the lower columns of the Nikita Botanical Gardens, next to the bus station.

The Nikita Cactus Garden is one of the largest groups of succulent plants in Russia and Europe. Soon after the establishment of the Nikita Park in 1812, the juices began to be introduced to culture here. From 1824, the first winter dill pear tree, as well as cacti and yucca, began to be cultivated in NBS. The creation of the closed soil sap set began in the 1960s. In 1996, the exhibition aloe vera greenhouse was opened, placing an outdoor succulent plant on the southern balcony.

Currently, as a result of nearly 190 years of work, the NBS Group includes about 1,100 types and types of juices. Among these species, there are over 600 species of aloe vera from 118 genera and about 500 other succulents from 67 genera and 17 families. In Nikitsky Garden, you can offer a wide range of succulent plants grown here, as well as make helpful recommendations for planting them. Contact phone: (3654) 33-57-79

Succulent (from succulent latin - succulent) - drought-resistant plants of various botanical families with dense and exciting leaves and stems. During a long dry period, they can store and consume water economically. In the course of evolution, the sap has adapted to anhydrous habitats in deserts. In addition to cacti, it includes plants from other families and even the infamous "money tree" is a typical succulent plant.
