About Park

  • Preview

It is part of a large green area referred to as Helsinkipuisto (Helsinki Park)

The girls' garden (also known as the "swing garden") is built on undulating ground. Cherry varieties Prunus pensylvanica and Prunus Padus 'Colorata' grow in addition to Spiraea flowering plants. Equipment requested by local girls includes swings, circuits and balancing tires. Fluctuations are combined between forest mounts and their flowering members, creating a protected area.

The Girls' Park features four specially designed hammocks where girls can sit opposite one another and chat with each other. They can also balance their recreational balls, and there are three umbrellas under which they can hang. The amphitheater in the middle of the park can be used for dance shows, and girls have their own garden to play on.

The area is divided into two parts with a branch of Longinoja Creek and Thuja Hedge. Where the Creek branch ends, there is a garden building where supervisors can organize activities indoors in bad weather. Wetland plants were planted on the banks of the creek, including yellow sediments (Lysimachia vulgaris), iris (Iris pseudacorus) and sediments.

Boys' garden more extreme. It features a free park with the largest ferry slope in Finland, a dirt track, ski and horse riding areas and BMX rides. The equipment is designed and partially built by the young people themselves. The area is bordered by dams, aspen trees and honeysuckle.
