The largest park adjacent to the city center
The eastern meadow is the largest park adjacent to the city center and is of great importance as a larger green area adjacent to the park-poor city center. The park is characterized as a grass park and is dominated by a larger open grass area on the southwest slope below the Great Church.
The Österängen has an important area of use as an activity area at school closings and other events where the large open grass area is valuable. The open spaces are also used for spontaneous sports, games and games, picnics and so on.
