When I started in the early 1960s building the first areas of the Druzhba residential area surrounding the modern park from the south, there was a lot of wet and peatland in the site of green spaces and present lakes. The pulp that was pumped from the bottom of Komsomolsk Lake (then called Ternopil Pool) was dried there. When the new settlers moved to new buildings, a wide road was laid across the arid lands, which later became the main alley of the water park. There were no trees around this road at the time, and because of that it was severely detonated. Residents of the new matrix did not like to walk around, especially in winter.
In the first half of the 1970's, extensive work was done on the depleted swamp site to create a 98-acre water park. At this time, Seret River slopes along the streets of peace, friendship and landscape.
In 1983, they first opened a water park, which they named "Pioneer". In 1985-1987, the garden was rebuilt. In a rather short period of time, trees were planted over 66 hectares, new alleys were laid, and trenches of rivers and ponds were dug. Along the central alley, fountains were created, reminiscent of the waterways on Shevchenko Street in the city center. On the islands of one of the lakes created the city of Cossacks. Not far from it is the complex themed space. Children were lured by the outdoor showroom, where real planes and helicopters were (later all of these properties were in poor condition and were dismantled). Near there are tourist attractions, active games, cultural and entertainment events. The sports area has a water court, karting, and tennis courts.
With the independence of Ukraine, the watermark was given the name of an ancient settlement that preceded the appearance of Ternopil - Topilche.
In recent years, the park has carried out a number of works that have improved its performance. Numerous trees and shrubs were planted, water was rebuilt and water supplied to the garden, a dry fodder warehouse, auxiliary buildings, decorated water mills, three football pitches with artificial lawns, a public toilet, the fortress on the active islands were rebuilt, and renovated Bridge - balcony on the island of "Slavic chapel". These works were carried out in the period 2000-2001. In 2007 the zoo corner fence was rebuilt, places for birds and crew, ostrich bins and other buildings and exterior décor were built.
In June 2015, a ramp path for persons with disabilities, mothers with strollers and cyclists from the Druzhba group (from Karpenko Street) was installed. Until now, there were only embarrassing stairs and ladders.
In 2017, 169 catalpa trees were planted from dams to the market in the beautiful city alley of Ternopil, which became the tallest catalpa alley in Ukraine, with a length of 1,450 meters.
Watermark is demarcated by streams containing artificial slopes, and dams with waterfalls. The highlight of the garden hydraulic system is the complex with water mills. They are provided with water from the Ternopil Pool in a natural way - the watermark is located below the water level.
The creators of the water park took into account the terrain. Wooden sculptures, horoscopes, lodges, forts, perspectives and branches of coarse wool, made in one style.
The peaceful rest area combines a fairytale collection with a zoo.
In the southern part of the park, there is a "space city" for children with different space objects: missiles, satellites, robots and other mechanisms.
In 2013, a catalytic alley was planted to celebrate the anniversary of the creation of the Halychyna Division.
An extreme extreme sports park opened in August 2015.
