One of the city's most popular parks
During the summer there are tables and chairs, which you can move as you please. Sun or shade, you choose. You can also borrow gear for outdoor games such as badminton, boules and frisbee at the library. There are also hammocks and blankets for lending.
The park offers flower splendor for almost the whole year - from the thousands of spring onions to the perennial plantings and summer flowers of the summer months.
The park was built in 1873-1874 and opened to the public in 1877. The Krook family donated the land to the city in 1870, subject to it being used for "walking and planting".
