It was founded by veterans of the Great Patriotic War

Victory Park of the 30th Victory in the city of Donetsk was founded by veterans of the Great Patriotic War on April 5, 1975 in a. In 1996 it was renamed to the City Council as "Square in Pioneer Palace". In 2008, in the run-up to Euro 2012, there was a conflict between someone's material interests and the existence of the park. Thus, the Donetsk City Council and the Executive Committee in their decision (No. 385 of 20 August 2008) excluded the park from the list of things that "prohibit economic or other activities that affect the change of landscapes and interfere with the use of these lands for their intended purpose". Soon (17 September 2008) it was found that the state of the greenery at the construction site of a hotel complex on Ovnatanyan Street in the city's Kalinin district was unsatisfactory.

After reconstruction, the park opened on August 23, 2013. The area of the reconstructed area is 7180 square meters. The park features an alley, sports courts and a children's playground, as well as the city's first bicycle path.

Also on the ground are the original works of Russian and Ukrainian sculptors on the themes of ancient Slavic customs - "Bergenia", "Lida and Swan", "Stephenica" and forms of ancient Greece - "Hercules", "Hors Wok", "Odyssey".

Before two entrances to the park from Shevchenko Street, there are two sculptural authors of Donetsk Georgi Peru - "Family" and "Wish Tree".
