It is one of the oldest zoos in Europe
During its years of existence, it was rebuilt several times, expanded its territory, rebuilt after military destruction, and rebuilt. In 1980, the zoo was granted status of protected area.
The animal population includes more than 400 species of fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
Among them are rare, listed in the International Red Book and the Red Book of Ukraine. 13 species are included in international breeding programs.
Our zoo is always young. This is the most beautiful corner in Eastern Ukraine, our pride and our business card.
