The park was created in the early 1960s in connection with the arrangement of the Dnieper Dam. From the time of its foundation until 1993, the park was called "the park named after VM Primakov", and since 1993 - it has a modern name.
Planning
The plan contains an irregular triangle consisting of the dam highway, the Dnieper and the bridge. E. Patton. The total area of the park is 13.82 hectares, and the upper terrace is 150 meters above the Dnieper. The configuration is based on regular planning. Established a "round hall", surrounded by long green walls with pyramid poplar trees, in the middle - the bottom of a large flower with a group of coniferous plants. Closer to Patton Bridge, a rock garden was created with decorative slides and views.
Effects
In 1970, a monument to VM Primakov, the Soviet military commander, who was called the park, was built in the park. The monument was dismantled in 2016.
In preparation for the celebration of the 1500th anniversary of the city of Kiev, in 1982 a carved composition was created in the garden in honor of the founders of the records of Kiev - Kyi, Chek, Horeb and Libidi.
On 24 October 2005, a UN alley was placed in the Navodnitsky Park to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the United Nations and a monument was built. In 2007, a cross was erected in the garden on the site of the temple building in honor of the equal apostle Saint Vladimir.
