The park is located in the upper and middle terraces of Mount St. Michael. The top of this mountain was occupied by the structures of the city of Iziaslav and the Monastery of St. Michael Golden. The planning and planning of the slopes began in the 1830s.

In 1853, a monument to Prince Vladimir was erected in the western part of the mountain, and since then the eastern part of Mount Mikhailovsky was named Volodymyr hill, and the park was named here.
Around 1900, the panorama of Calvary was built on the hill (not preserved, destroyed in the 1920s). The formative center of the park is a monument to Prince Vladimir, where there are alleys on the middle terrace, steps from the upper terrace, and steps from the descent of Vladimir.
Infrastructure
In addition to the memorial, there are two parks in the park, a small statue of the park (operated by the masters of Kiev, installed here in the 1980s and 1990s). In the 1970s and 1980s, city-wide flower exhibitions were held in the park.
In the northern part of the park there is a funicular and in the south - the Ukrainian house.
