  It is a picturesque park on the steep slopes of the Dnieper

  Located in Kiev on one of the steep slopes of the Dnieper River, The Park of Eternal Glory offers wonderful views of the city. Previously, it was here Anosovsky Park, or Commandant's, founded in 1894. Over the years, the park became better: corridors, monuments and a fountain were installed in the middle. In the middle of 1940, in the postwar period, the park declined and became a real barren land. In the center of the park stands the obelisk of Glory of gray granite, and at its foot - a memorial to the unknown soldier. Nearby, the eternal flame is equipped with a bronze crown of oak leaves. At the grand opening of the memorial, direct fire was fired from the Mamaev hill in Stalingrad (present-day Volgograd). Also on the territory of the Park of Eternal Glory is a monument to the memory of the victims of famines in Ukraine. Getting there The Park of Eternal Glory is located in Kiev between Lavra Street and Dniprovsky Descent. From Arsenalnaya metro station, you need to walk down Ivan Mazepa Street to Salute Hotel.
