Green and archaeological area
Between the slope of the Calore River and the confluence of the Sabato River, with a longitudinal development of one kilometer, for about 3 hectares, also crossroads between the two cycle paths Benevento and the city center.
It is accessible from two entrances accessible by car and with parking; in the middle of the track is the walled archaeological area, which corresponds to the original settlement of the city which later became Roman Benevento.
From the study of archaeological discoveries, it turned out that this was a Samanid and then Roman village, dedicated to craftsmanship in the processing of ceramics and tiles, with furnaces dating back to the fourth century BC.
