About Park

  • Preview

The Beatrixpark is a city park in Amsterdam-Zuid, between the Boerenwetering, the Amsterdam RAI, the Ringweg-Zuid (A10), the Beethovenstraat, the Zuider Amstelkanaal and the Diepenbrockstraat. The park is located in the Princess Irenebuurt.

The Beatrixpark is part of the Amsterdam Zuidas area and will be extended to the southern location "Sportpark Goed Genoeg" of football club AFC when the Ringweg is underground, and the Amalia Park will also be added.

At the edge of the park there was a school on the Prinses Irenestraat, the Sint-Nicolaaslyceum. The lyceum has been moved to the west side of the park, on Beethovenstraat. The old location of the school has been transformed to become part of the park. There was also a church on the side of Beethovenstraat until 2009, the Catholic Christ's Nativity.
