Osiedle Chemików is the largest district in Oświęcim.
One of the most representative places in its area is the Peace Square adjacent to Aleja Tysiąclecia and ul. Śniadeckiego. After the revitalization completed at the end of 2013, it became a very popular holiday destination for the city's residents.
You can relax on a bench among the interestingly arranged flower beds, play chess, checkers or a Chinese on specially prepared boards (or at tables with chessboards). There are bike paths, bridge tables, an original fountain with "geysers" and an unusual green bridge in the shape of ... fish axes
