Park Podzamcze (also called Zamkowy) is the largest park in Olsztyn. Located in the Old Town, on the Łyna, around part of the old city walls and - as the name suggests - right next to the castle, it has a unique atmosphere that is appreciated by Olsztyn and tourists.
The park is divided into three parts: northern (between railway viaducts and Nowowiejskiego street), central (between Nowowiejskiego street and St. John's Bridge) and southern (between St. John's and St. James's bridges).
It is worth going for a walk here at any time of the year - both in spring or summer among the flowers and lush green chestnut trees, maples, alders, and in autumn, when the trees delight with the richness of colorful leaves.
