A protected area develops along the Lanza River Valley
which originates from the Canton of Ticino and flows to the Olona River in Malnate. An area of 850 hectares between the provinces of Varese consists of wetlands and forests inhabited by rich animals. There are also rural buildings, churches and buildings. The old Molera quarry and the old railway are of particular importance and are now used only for special occasions, connecting Mendrisio with Castellanza. Today, it can be restored by following the paths inside the park, which is suitable for hiking and for beautiful mountain bike tours. Among the routes identified on the Valle Lanza Park location map, flight number 6 allows you to discover the ancient railway route 17 km from Bizzarone to Malnate.
