    One of Rybnik Gardens

The area of the park is 37.4 thous. m2. It was founded in 1938 by Gwarectwo Węglowe at KWK Rymer. The park flourished in the 1950s, when Witold Wojtal was the mine's director. At that time, Rudolf Kucharczyk was commissioned to design the park. He is also the author and performer of figures of dancing miners, sculptures that still exist today.
A pond with streams of water, a fountain, bridges, a small zoo, a concert shell, and tennis courts were created in the park. A "Mimoza" restaurant was built with a palm house, rock garden and adit showing the hard work of miners underground. The park was a place of recreation and rest for mine employees and residents of the mined colony.
