Włókniarzy Park in Bielsko-Biała - a city park located in the center of Bielsko-Biała

The northern part of the park changes into Adam Mickiewicz Square (before 1939 called Blichowy Square, and in the People's Republic of Poland - Obrońców Pokoju Square). From the second half Of the nineteenth century until the 1970s was a place where rallies, demonstrations and other mass events took place [1]. It went down in history, among others a three-thousand youth demonstration in March 1968. In 1928, a monument was erected here to Gabriel Narutowicz, the first president of the Second Polish Republic. It was the only monument in Poland of this politician, despite the fact that it had nothing to do with the city, which is why its construction can be considered a demonstration of Polishness in a city dominated by the German population
