  The beginning of the path was taken as pl. Kościelny at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in New Royal Village. When leaving the square, we turn right along the church fence, pass the church building and reach the water reservoir. The first stop of the selected path was designated here. There is a sports field and playground. On the banks of the excavation there are individual trees and shrubs Poplar Populus sp. And willows Salix sp. Phragmites australis common cane, Glyceria maxima semolina, Eleocharis palustris muddyweed, Lysimachia vulgaris common cattail and Calystegia sepium thicket with white, calyx flowers. Between the pitch and the church wall there is a site increasingly rare in Opole Silesia - the pink butterbur Petasites hybridus. It is a species belonging to the Asteraceae family (formerly - Compositae complex), blooming in early spring before leaf development. After getting acquainted with the flora and scenic values ​​of this stop, we continue along the edge of the pit.
