Jaworzynka Glade - a clearing glade located in the Jaworzynka Valley in the Western Tatras. Its name comes from former sycamore trees growing on it [1]. It is located at an altitude of 1070-1120 m a.s.l. and is about 1 km long [2]. It has underground drainage, the stream bed fills with water only after heavy rainfall

In the past it was part of Hala Jaworzynka. In documents from the 18th century, it exists under the name Jaworzyna Łuszczkowa (Łuszczek is one of the old highlander families) [1]. The clearing was mowed, its edges and steep slopes were grazed. The forests were almost completely cut down. Excessive grazing has led to almost complete degradation and erosion of these slopes. Jaworzynka was the most representative example of damage caused to mountains by excessive grazing in the Tatra Mountains. The slopes of Boczania and Skupupny Upłaz were actually a desert. In 1962, the Tatra National Park bought the entire area from the highlanders from Murzasichle, including it in the national park
