In the heart of the city, near the railway station connected by a tunnel, the Miralvori Urban Park extends.
Legacy of history and its most prominent family (Della Rovere, Castelparco Albany) This green area of about 20 hectares is the heart of the city.
The villa garden, which is private and not open to visitors, is designed in Italian style and is surrounded by historic wood (partly public) preserving ancient specimens, stunning pine trees, milking, oak trees, Holland and linden trees.
Part of the property (now becoming public) was a thriving farm. From the inside, you can see elements of the ancient agricultural landscape - part of the downtown Pizarro countryside - such as rows of fruit trees and willows along the trenches, fragmentation of old recycling fields, and ancient vineyards with living teachers.
The park is crossed by a bicycle path and a high pedestrian path, surrounded by well-planted trees and shrubs that offer a private view and suggestive benches.
On the river side there is an area of about 8 hectares surrounded by a large lake and a natural area designed to enhance the biodiversity of animals and plants. The lake is a destination for schools for the presence of different types of birds: gray herons, cormorants, two laying hens, fishermen fish and a large colony of domestic ducks.
Between two parts of the lake, one used as a basin and the other as a small lake, a short tunnel passes allowing a small underwater observatory to be seen.
A space for butterflies with pathogenic and vegetative plants and a covered walkway overlooking a large stone valley, then leads to a bird watching shed and ginger wood (moisture lover).
The Natural Zone is developing an educational project with the aim of combining recreational, educational and environmental activities. The project allows research, observations and studies.
On both sides of Solferino and across Cimarosa there are two areas that have already been reforested in the first half of the last century, where there are mainly pine plants, commonly used in that period for rapid rooting. Large open grassy spaces and a bar near the fountain are designed to relax. The garden is ideal for those who want to engage in physical activity.
