The oldest public park in the city

Pincio Park of Ancona, born after the capture of Rome in 1870, is the oldest public park in the city. Located in Colo Santo Stefano, at an altitude of approximately 100 meters and from Belvedere, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea, hills and the city, where many of its main landmarks and points of interest can be seen: the government, the churches of San Domenico, San Francesco il Scale, the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, Piazza Cavour, the old port and the old lighthouse Campo delle Eppre and Bastion del Casero.

The Belvedere Hotel hosts the tomb-inspired path of resistance, while the 19th-century walls in another area of the park, close to games, skiing arenas and football fields, are an impressive backdrop. These walls from the wall served as a link between Lunetta Santo Stefano (near the park), a huge fort commissioned by Napoleon, and the Renaissance castle of Cittadella (a little distant), located in Colle Astagno.
