  Composed of flowerbeds, groves and terraces planted with olive trees

  One enjoys a remarkable point of view on the historic center, the sea and the massif of Estérel. The princess Pauline (1780-1825), Napoleon's sister stayed in Grasse at the family Amic, in the mansion of Pontevès in 1811. She liked to go to this park to rest and did carve in the rock, the seat that we can still see. The municipality of Grasse created this public garden in 1922, following the donation of the estate of Baroness Alice de Rothschild (1847-1922), and gave it the name of this famous beauty to pay homage to it. After the Revolution, Ivan Bounine (1870-1953) left Russia and settled in France between Paris and Grasse in 1923. His villa, where he received artist friends, is located near the gardens of Princess Pauline, a sculpture he pays tribute. This Russian novelist and poet received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1933.
