This intervention aims to improve the use of the park and redevelop the two main entrances (entrance on Via Malvezzi and Via Meldolesi) and create a path accessible to persons with disabilities, the elderly and families with wheelchairs who can walk independently of the area. With toilets near the urban gardens at the water point and relax via Meldolesi.
The project, which received a positive opinion from the Supervisory Board and shared with local associations, neighborhood residents and the municipal committee of Peba (Architectural Barrier Removal Plan), also provides bridge safety for access from Strada di Gogna (where the deteriorating wooden fence will be replaced by protective side barriers), The installation of five information boards, showing pedestrian paths and points of interest in the area surrounding the park, and the creation of a path, in local stone panels, in the area of urban gardens.
Looking at the details of the works, the path of persons with disabilities, which will be 1.5 meters by 250 meters, will be in a biologically depleted environmental conglomerate, naturally colored, and equipped with a seat. Another extension of the road, which is about 30 meters long, will connect the new path / pedestrian cycle to the Via Malvezzi section parallel to Via Berolaldi.
To reach the park from Via Malvezzi, next to the current path, there will be a path dedicated to the motor and visual impairment, as it is made of a bio-discharge environmental group, in natural colors, and accompanied by a longitudinal directional barrier. Moreover, special strips will be placed at useful points to determine the route of access to vehicles in the event of events and events. About, instead, from accessing via Meldolesi, a new path with a barrier will be achieved. In the first section, mixed granular materials, homogeneous with the external parking area and water point will be placed.
The current route connecting Malvezzi and Meldolesi will be fixed and will be surrounded by, on the west side, metallic railing as support for visually impaired users with mobility difficulties. Two new seats will also be installed. The final part of the trail will also be extended to ensure barrier-free access to the water point and rest and relaxation area, where three seats will be placed, replacing the existing ones.
With regard to the area for dog training, this area of about 850 square meters, surrounded by a fence in a plastic wire mesh, will be linked to the current path inside the garden with a design of local stones. The roof includes a type of safety filter chamber, complete with a seat and a fountain with a dispenser of hygienic bags to collect dog feces, where two separate areas for small and large dogs will be reached.
