Canalejas Park is the oldest park in the city.
It was designed in 1886 by architect González Tess. The entrance is guarded by stone sculptures of lions and dogs. Inside it are magnificent statues of a hundred years of enormous proportions, a small monument to the pen of Daniel Banyuls as a symbol of the artist Carlos Arnechis of Alicante, a map of Spain carved with wood and fountains
