  One of Modena's gardens

  The XXII Aprile park was built in 1976 in the former occupied area of ​​the Naviglio channel and from Villa Pentetorri, badly damaged during an air raid in 1944 and subsequently demolished. The only element that remains as evidence of its prior existence is the only element of entry gates with relative construction columns that are today in the central part of the park.
  In this medium size garden, the intent to set green function is clear for urban redevelopment in relation to the high-density "suburban area" context, created in accordance with intensive construction units of the early 1950s and 1960s. In the region, they turn very carefully: areas with single orchards with a regular farming layout capable of creating special color effects. Areas with isolated groups of plants and finally extended garden areas adornment. Functional path system for both pedestrian jumper and bike, there is also a central course, well equipped, which along with water games and flower boxes and in the greatest enjoyment periods it takes on the role of a small box. Other important elements are "paved space with adjacent platform" usable for skiing, performances, various games and "track": Protected road suitable for early cycling or roller skating experiences. Over the years important innovations have been introduced into the organization of the park and the creation of a new space for children has been inspired by elements of nature, the goal is to develop contact with some elements of nature such as: air, wind, light, sounds, time. Older children find the greatest opportunities to play in the south of the park where there is an area equipped with games designed to favor socialization and, at the same time, develop and verify personal skills. For those who prefer sports activities, in continuation with this area there are also two spaces equipped with football and volleyball.
