It was the Liberation and Peace Park, known in Prato as the former hippodrome. Between Via Roma and Via dell'Ippodromo. The park occupies a rectangular area near the heart of the city center and represents a green oasis immersed in the urban network.
The park is divided into different areas equipped with games and sports equipment. There are play areas, suitable areas for sport and suitable environments for relaxation. The garden is allowed to rotate in shaded and sunny areas. In addition, the tree-lined roads and paths that link the different areas allow for the construction of a garden communications network. Over the years, the Garden Scenario has been undergoing renovation and innovation.
In fact, the park is far from being a green area, a true hub for initiatives: it has often been the place for events, shows and exhibitions, presenting itself as the perfect venue for all events designed for a diverse audience. In this direction, the Liberation and Peace Park has been undergoing various transformations over the years to allow greater livability and ease of use on a large scale.
The project is a progressive re-development project that meets the requirements of many gardeners and moves towards the idea of a dynamic park. A multi-purpose green center, within the urban fabric, suitable for its full use and exploitation in all its possibilities.
