A public garden of Besançon
In 1830 the project of this park of more than 3 hectares is established by the municipality to fill marshland, an arm of the Doubs and the old island of the field meadows which faced the island with the sparrows, in the current Bregille district, between the Doubs loop and the current Édouard Droz boulevard.
