With a total area of approximately 5 hectares, the gardens of the Evêché are the largest green space in the city center of Limoges, contiguous to the Saint-Étienne cathedral and especially to the former bishopric of the city, now museum Municipal Fine Arts. They are divided into a French garden, a typical public garden composed of ponds and hedges of trees, and a vast botanical garden, itself divided into three areas: systematic garden, theme garden and garden of regional natural environments.
