Our own zoo was born "out of the ashes" of the ancient Monte Lonzina Zoo in the Yogan Hills.
The Valcorba Wildlife Park started working with the first stone laying followed by planting trees and creating the first exhibits. After years of hard work, in 2000 gates were finally opened!
The park currently covers an area of 200,000 square meters, shaded by about 22,000 plants and welcomes animals from more than 70 species hosted in large sections studied and manufactured from natural materials (stone, wood, plants ... and a lot of passion) and constantly renewed for their specific needs.
The old concept of the zoo, which is meant as an animal exhibit, has been abolished by us and is not part of our way of thinking and existence.
For us, the park is a tool to teach respect for nature in all its forms ... Those who enter can be intrigued and inspired by the immense wealth that nature provides us. Our hope is that the visitor will realize that the future of these wonders depends exclusively on the "good education" of our small daily gestures that often conflict with the delicate natural balance.
