The park was built on land occupied by the park and its name is attributed to many of the crowds that inhabited the area, although its name varied throughout its history. Its name was changed to Prince Alfonso's walkway in 1925, when its first major repair was performed, which consisted of asphalting which meant reducing the central row of poplar (which divided the walk into two halves). Six years later, on December 12, 1931, Pablo Iglesias, the founder of the PSOE, became a pedestrian. After the Spanish Civil War, the name of Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera was changed, although the initial project was dubbed "Legs". In the fifties of the twentieth century, the new cultivators were planted in the approximate location where the original copies were. Finally, on June 29, 1979, the city council restored the first name of the tour.
At present, the park has a marble floor with a mosaic designed by Antonio Suarez. At the beginning of 2010, part of the mosaic was restored
