Monte Troina is a pit formed a few hundred years before Christ and Caldera is still clearly visible inside. It is also a large green lung located around the city center of Pedara, and Vinesha is included in the band "Etna", the first class of controlled origin to be recognized in Sicily (1968). It has never been so easy to soil, and its own terrain makes it very difficult to cultivate this soil, which in some places, even today, is made with the force of arms. Wide and useful, so the terraces (varvacani) that "cushioned" farm work by supporting the soil and reducing the excessive tendency of the sides. On the southern side is the old Cisternazza, a large rural settlement still in use today, serving a large and productive vineyard.
In addition to the path that extends along the eastern slope of the volcanic cone, access to the park is also guaranteed by the Calvary Stairway. At the top of it, around 1953, a votive mausoleum was built for Madonna Tears.
