The building is surrounded by balconies on two levels. The basement, connected to the garden by a double stairway, has a beautiful Italian-style hanging garden, characterized by a family of roses. The park, which is connected to the villa by a gate no longer in use, is a huge park open to the public for free and run by the Architectural Heritage Authority for the Heritage and Landscape of Florence.
The long winding road that runs from Via Aldini to the square in front of the villa is the distinguishing feature of the garden design. Along with the system of paths and stairs that cross the hill, it refers to the solutions Poggi tried in the design of Viale dei Colli and Piazzale Michelangelo.
The park has a cinematic system that alternates between the suggestive landscapes of Florence and the search for views through the contrast between large tree blocks and large grass surfaces. At the entrance to the park, there is a small lake (home to waterbirds, fish and turtles) inside which is a small island connected to cannabis by a small bridge. At the top of the garden, on the foothills of the villa, stands a hedgey maze on the hillside.
Beginning in the 1990s, the tree heritage of the park is in a state of constant decline, due to lack of funds to ensure its maintenance is exhausting. Many of the areas used for trees have now been converted into a simple meadow, as in the horse chestnut grove, now disappearing at the first bend in the street. The pine and Lebanese rice have been cut and have not been replaced in the lawn around the pond. .
