  A large 19th-century park with statues, fountains, long trees, lake, botanical gardens & roses

  Today managed by the city of Lyon and the real lung of the city, the park offers on 117 hectares a vast natural expanse in the heart of the city. It is accessed by eight entrances, the last having been opened in 2009, at the esplanade of the Cité Internationale. Various events, films, theater, exhibitions or others make it a Mecca of Lyon culture. The zoological garden of Lyon takes place within it.

  The zoo now welcomes animals from around the world. It covers more than 6 hectares. Scientific collaboration brings him together for a long time at the veterinary school of Lyon.
  
  In October 2006, for the complete restructuring of the zoo13, the park inaugurated an African plain, where landscape architects and architects respected the visibility required for the public with respect for animals by founding the enclosures in the decor.
